Scratch beneath the surface of most Christian congregations and you'll find the bedrock of faith. Faith is believing in something. Faith is trusting someone. For Christians, faith is believing the good news found in the Bible that Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord. Faith trusts that God's promise of eternal life in Jesus today will lead to an unending existence with him forever. At Bible Lutheran Church we live in grace and yearn for glory. Life is a great big, wonderful, crazy journey we all walk.
Some days are so good you wish the day would last forever. Christians recognize that all that is beautiful, all that is good and all that seems "just perfect" in life is a gift from the hand of God. Yet there are times when life is hard, trying, mixed up, and so painful it is hard to keep going. Where is God then? Right by our side in our troubles. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 |

What do we mean when we say "I love you" to someone else?
Do we mean "I need your love" or do we mean "let me serve you with my love"? The truth is, from the Bible's point of view, love is a two-way street. We need God's love to truly understand who we are and what we were created to be. That's why God sent his Son Jesus, so that we might fully understand how much he loves us. The good news for all of us is that God's love in Jesus Christ endures forever. God never tires giving us the love that we need. |
Yet love is meant to be returned, so God calls us to return his love by loving him with all our heart and serving others in his name. We strive to do that here at Bible Lutheran Church by caring deeply for one another and lending a helping hand to our families, friends, and community neighbors. God loves you.
