❖ Bible Lutheran is a warm, loving and active congregation formed in 2009,
that believes the Bible is God’s Word as inspired by Him, is infallible and fully
inerrant in its original manuscripts and superior to all human authority. We
do not shape God’s Word; God’s Word shapes us. God’s Word has never
failed man. It is a perfect road map that leads to eternal life with God,
through Jesus, the Word made flesh. Lutherans in Effingham County have
deep roots in our Christian beliefs and will continue to be based on sound
Biblical doctrine and hold fast to the teaching of the Bible in our community.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Master of Divinity degree
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
5 years
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Every ordained minister with a congregational call shall:
❖ administer the sacraments, conduct public worship, provide pastoral care
and speak publicly to the world in solidarity with the poor and oppressed.
Also, calling for justice and proclaiming God’s love for all the world.
❖ offer instruction, confirm, marry, visit the sick and distressed, and bury the
dead.
❖ supervise all schools and organizations of this congregation
❖ Install regularly elected members of the congregation council and with the
congregational council administer discipline
❖ Strive to extend the Kingdom of God in the community, in the nation and
abroad
❖ Seek out and encourage qualified persons to prepare for the ministry of the
Gospel
❖ Impart knowledge of this church and its wider ministry through distribution
of it’s periodicals and other publications.
COMPENSATION:
Annual salary and benefits negotiable, and based on experience and education.
